Slaters Bridge

I stumbled upon Slaters bridge on a trek through the Langdale region of the Lake District completely by accident.
The bridge dates back to the 16th century and was used by pack ponies carrying slate from the slate mines to where it could be loaded for transportation to one of the big industrial centers in the North of England.
Considering the bridge is close to 500 years old it's in remarkable condition, and should you visit it in the winter months, you'll find it deserted as well.

I love these small ancient structures which have been around before the might and money of today's large companies and countries ever existed, and yet still these small structures go on, silent witnesses to the passage of time, of fame and fortune.

The Unseen collaborator

Every Joiner begins in silence, then finds its structure through its unseen collaborator—music. The tempo sets the pace of assembly; melodies suggest movement and balance. Music shapes the emotional architecture of each piece, guiding where energy builds and where calm returns. To truly experience a Joiner, it should be viewed while listening to the music that shaped it. Only then does the visual rhythm align with the heartbeat, the beat, it was born from.

Each Joiner is created but not yet printed.

This is intentional. Printing every piece in advance would compromise the freedom each collector deserves. By commissioning a Joiner at the moment of purchase, you decide its scale and presence—tailored precisely to your space and vision. Every print is then produced to museum-grade archival standards, ensuring permanence, precision, and exclusivity.
