Buckingham Palace (incomplete)

I was almost arrested capturing this Joiner, for real!

I arrived at Buckingham Palace only to find thousands and thousands of people crowding the pavements in anticipation of the ceremony called 'Changing the Guard'.
This wasn't how I'd planned on capturing Buckingham Palace, but still no plan survives engagement with the enemy so I had to think creatively (especially as I didn't want to waste the journey), my solution? My solution was 'elevation'! My thinking was that if I could get above the crowds I'd get my joiner with the added bonus of crowds in the foreground. So I climbed, I climbed the closest statue to me and hanging with arm wrapped around the statue I started shooting away.

After shooting for a few minutes I could hear, over the hub-bub of the crowd, someone shouting to 'get down', I sneaked a peak at the 'shouter' and saw that it was a Policeman, who thankfully was a far distance away and unlikely to get to me before I'd finished shooting.
It was obvious he was shouting at me, but I pretended not to hear him, and because there were hundreds of people between us I carried on shooting, but this time a bit quicker knowing my window of opportunity was closing.
Unbeknown to me he'd radio'd through to his colleagues, several of whom were making a bee-line towards me. I was aware the crowd below me parting in a number of places with, as it turned out, a number of Police officers were rapidly making their way toward me...
I started photographing at a furious rate now knowing my time was severely limited, trying to capture as much as I could before I'd feel the long arm of the law..
It was then that I felt a tug on my leg, I looked down to see a number of sweaty red faces belong to London's finest.
I climbed down from my vantage point and explained myself, didn't they know I was an 'artist', however the Police didn't share my perspective and after a stern telling off, and me promising to never do it again, I was let go.
The things we do for our art... :)

I almost trashed this joiner as it was unfinished, but decided to keep it, mainly because it cost me to create it, and for this reason I'm quite fond of it.

The Unseen collaborator

Every Joiner begins in silence, then finds its structure through its unseen collaborator—music. The tempo sets the pace of assembly; melodies suggest movement and balance. Music shapes the emotional architecture of each piece, guiding where energy builds and where calm returns. To truly experience a Joiner, it should be viewed while listening to the music that shaped it. Only then does the visual rhythm align with the heartbeat, the beat, it was born from.

Each Joiner is created but not yet printed.

This is intentional. Printing every piece in advance would compromise the freedom each collector deserves. By commissioning a Joiner at the moment of purchase, you decide its scale and presence—tailored precisely to your space and vision. Every print is then produced to museum-grade archival standards, ensuring permanence, precision, and exclusivity.
