British Museum (#1)

The British Museum is old, very old, having been established in 1753, however it still stands and it still plays host to some amazing (and controversial) artifacts and sees around 6 million visitors a year - all of whom get in for free!
To be able to see some of Shakespere's original work written in his own hand alongside some 5000 year old Egyptian mummies is just fantastic!
This joiner was shot in the newly covered Great Court which was covered with a glass roof in 2001, the effect is fantastic, and it looks just amazing, however it was challenging to shoot and even more challenging to put the joiner together.
With so many people milling around I had to shoot it incredibly quickly, much quicker than I normally would, also the security guards were keeping an eye on me so I couldn't take my time..

The Unseen collaborator

Every Joiner begins in silence, then finds its structure through its unseen collaborator—music. The tempo sets the pace of assembly; melodies suggest movement and balance. Music shapes the emotional architecture of each piece, guiding where energy builds and where calm returns. To truly experience a Joiner, it should be viewed while listening to the music that shaped it. Only then does the visual rhythm align with the heartbeat, the beat, it was born from.

Each Joiner is created but not yet printed.

This is intentional. Printing every piece in advance would compromise the freedom each collector deserves. By commissioning a Joiner at the moment of purchase, you decide its scale and presence—tailored precisely to your space and vision. Every print is then produced to museum-grade archival standards, ensuring permanence, precision, and exclusivity.
